In 1936 Walter Cronkite, became a sports and news reporter at a radio station in Kansas City. This career lead to Walter working for the United Press during World War II. Walter Cronkite was 1 of 8(spartacus-educational.com) war journalists that were assigned to fly with the United States air force when doing bombing runs in Germany. His first flight was on a B-17 flying fortress on 26th February 1943.(spartacus-educational.com)
Edgar Snow was a journalist during World War II, he began reporting after he visited China and the Philippines, he wrote battle for Asia and published his work in 1941.(spartacus-educational.com) In 1942 Snow became war correspondent for the Saturday Evening Post.(spartacus-educational.com).He also did work on battles in India and the Soviet Union.
